The candidates for County Manly Man Royal Rangers'"Man Stuff Yard Sale"-- Saturday, May 5th at 9:00 a.m. This sale will raise money for uniforms and the five-day Ranger Summer Camp in Stanley. They are looking for donations of clean, usable items for sale Yard Art & The Council Lions Club will be holding their annual Yard Art & Plant Sale on Saturday, May 12 at the Elementary School parking lot. Come see Chamber Council Chamber of Commerce will hold a General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 12:00 noon. The meeting will be at the Council High School Building and will cover the Candidates Assessor, County Prosecuting Attorney, and candidates for State Representative and Senator will be present to answer questions. We reunion is being planned for are really trying to find email the weekend before the 4th addresses and contact infor- of July. This will include the marion for everyone. Council Mountain Quilt Guild's monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at the Council Senior Center. We'll start at 4:00 pm with a leaderless gathering. Bring a project to work on, includ- ing sewing machine, continue with the BOM, or just come to socialize. Bring a sack lunch for dinner time, as we meet until at least 8 pm. For ladies new to the area, this would be a grand opportunity to come and meet other women with similar interests and Start on a new project (as if we don't have enough projects going). A Voting Question Answered Jack Hellbusch of New Meadows wrote to the Idaho Secretary of State's Office with a question that some of our readers might find interesting and informative. He wrote: "I am citizen of Idaho, presiding in Adams County. l do not affiliate with any particular party, and vote for the best candidate (in my opinion) for the contested elected offices. In the coming primary most all offices in Adams County happen to be of one party. For me to vote, I will sign an aff-diarion with that party. The next morning I plan on sending in the required form to remove my affiliation with that party to the county clerk. Is there any reason why I cannot do this? I have checked with the local registrar and was told this was the way to go" Betsie Kimbrough, Elections Division Supervisor, - responded: "Yes, you are able to send in a change of party affiliation the day after the election.
