Page28 I snapped this week's photo outside of Adams County, but most of us think of the location as being in our back yard and part of our local geographical culture. I need the name of the peak on the right in the bigger photo. (You can see four states while standing on top of it!) Naming the one on the left earns a bonus point. If you can do that, I'm sure you can name the lake. The Smaller photo shows the top of that rocky peak on the right in the bigger photo, with the camera looking southwest. Notice that little pile of rocks on the tiptop. I'I1 have a picture of that rock cairn next week from a hundred years ago, showing the men who put it there standing beside it. OK, so last week's photo didn't turn out very clear. Sorry about that. Plus I found out I Wednesday, May 9, 2012 Where is This? was wrong about being able to see Adams County in the distance. R-he mountain in the background 'was Cuddy Mountain, and the county line is a ways out of sight. Marie DeKnikker says the photo was taken near Cambridge, along Mill Road, just west of Fort Road. The camera was pointed north. The homes in the foreground are those of Jason and Charley Kindall. Only two people put in official guesses, and both were right. (A third person guessed correctly, but didn't want to be in the running.) The winner is Dave Mink, who pinpointed the photo location almost down to the exact spot. (Joe and The Adams County Record Dawn Holmes were also correct.) Dave's prize is a tube of herbal lib balm from D&L.Herbs. The prize for guessing this week's photo location is a hiking guidebook by Gary Jones. I won't say what area the guide covers because that would be too much of a clue to this picture. (At least to the half-dozen people who don't already know.) Remember to get your entries in by 4:00 PM on Monday. Good luck!
