Fifth Annual Mountain Trail Challenge BY AL BECKER The Heartland Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of Idaho will be hosting their Fifth Annual Mountain Trail Challenge on Saturday, June 9th this year. The Commissioners also spent time assuring themselves that the newly constructed Wilson Road above the bridge will be built on deeded right of way for the county. The steep terrain will mean that several stretches of by Lee Buy the roadway will take up more than the 60' minimum right of way required by county ordi- nance. Council High School will provide the labor to replant along the right of way of Middle Fork Road. That road has also been reconstructed after the June, 2010, flood. The School will use native plant materials grown in the' High School green- house, and will supple- ment those plants with additional supplies from the Lucky Peak Nursery near Boise. This will be the first time that Council High School will have grown and planted native shrubbery in our area. The Commissioners approved a bid for $20,800.00 for supplying topsoil along Middle Fork Road with the stipulation that the contractor needs to use two trucks with pup trailers to deliver the soil as needed for the planting.
