The class of 16 seniors took their seats on the stage, surrounded by a beach scene with dolphins, palm trees and beach balls. Salutatorian ]amie Berks, and Valedictorian Lucas Pate both gave speeches, recounting the class's high school career and hijinks. Former teacher, Annie Knowles, followed with some similar observations and words of wisdom in her Commencement Address. Fran Ogden presented a number of students with scholarships as she has for many years. Wayne Freedman called each graduate by their full name and handed out diplomas. (It's sometimes a shock to learn a classmate's real or middle name for the first time after knowing them most of your life.) As has been the tradition for a number of years, the class spent the night at Starkey Hot Springs, swimming, playing games and winning some of the many prizes donated by area businesses and individuals. As dawn broke, the weary youngsters staggered home to bed -- worn out, but satisfied with achieving a goal they have been working toward for almost as long as they can remember. Where is This?
