Adams County Weed Tour This year Adams Cooperative Weed Management is having our Weed Tour in the New Meadows area at the New Meadows Senior Citizens hall on June 26, with registration at 8:00 AM. Talks will be about Ventenata, Wiregrass, Poisonous plants to livestock, goats, and Chemical .Representatives. Recertification credits will be given for those with a spraying license. Afternoon tour will cover Rush Skeletonweed, Scotch Thistle, Hounds Tongue,- Leafy Spurge, Knapweeds and Orange Hawkweed. Lunch will be provided. There is no fee. Council Car Wash Council High School FCCLA will be holding a fundraising car wash on Saturday, June 16, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Council Car Wash. Quilt Show The Council Quilt Show will be accepting quilts for this year's show on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday June 17. Quilts and consignment items will be accepted between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the Council Elementary School. Any design is accepted. Quilts that meet the "Christmas in July" theme will be placed in the theme category. For more information, call 253-6073 or see the ad on page 10. School Registration Registration for Council High School grades 7-12 will be August 13-15. The 7th, 11th, and 12th grade students will register Monday the 13. The 8th, 9th and 10th grade students will register Tuesday the 14th. There will a registration day on the 15th for those who could not come on the planned day. Sports programs will start on the 10th. Sports physicals required for 7th, 9th and llth grade students must be done before sports practice begins.
