Main in Coun- cil. Council Bountiful Baskets Every Other Saturday Volunteer at 9 am -- Pro- duce Pickup: 10 am. You must contribute on- line on the prior Mon/Tues to participate. Council Community Garden Saturday Market 10 am - 12 pm -- Workdays: Tuesday & Saturday starting at 9 am. Council Horse Competitions Show each day--the exact time depends on when the shows end. Saturday's events, at the 4-H arena, will be halter class, western equitation, western pleasure, reining and Fuel the Cure Raffle trail. Entry fees will be $3 1 st through 6  place ribbons will be awarded. Sunday's events, at the rodeo arena: barrel racing and pole bending, by age groups, with ribbons awarded. An open competition for a jackpot will require a $10 entry fee. For more info, call Kelly Swingruber at 566-1939. Winners will be drawn on August 7 at the Adams County Health Center at 5:00 PM. You don't have to be present to win. The items can be viewed, and tickets purchased, at US Bank. Tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5 or 20 for $25. More items are coming, and a second raffle will be held in October. The proceeds of a local raffle will be used to buy gas cards for people to use when they need to travel for cancer testing or treatment. First prize is a nice blanket made by Janice Canterberry. 2 nd prize: Parroered Chef market tote. 3 rd prize: Pampered Chef lunch tote. 4 h prize: Scentsy Warmer. Free Sports Physicals The Adams County Health August 2 from 8:00 AM to Center will be conducting free 12:30 PM. Please call 253-4242 sports physicals on Thursday, for an appointment. The Adams County Record Health Fair and Open House The Adams County Health Center will be holding a health fair and open house on Saturday, August 7, from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM. There will be booths by area hospitals and pharmacies, Heart and Home and Rose Advocates. Idaho Primary Care Association will have a voter registration and information booth. Dr. Obuch will be available to answer questions about orthopedics. Featuring: static displays by Council Ambulance Service and of a Life Flight helicopter Weiser Trail Friends of the Weiser River Trail are inviting horseback riders to a Jackpot Poker Ride Saturday, July 28th. Start time after 9:30 AM, Jackpot Fees: $ 20 per rider. Location at the new Wye Trailhead East of Highway 4-H Pet Enter your favorite Furry Friend in a pet parade celebrating 100 years of 4-H. Dress 'em green, Paint 'em green, we'll all be seeing green! The most creative green representation of 100 years of 4-H will receive a $45 prize for 1st - $25 to 2nd - $15 to 3rd - $10 to 4th - $5 to 5th, all sponsored by the Adams County 4-H Leaders Council. This event is open to anyone! Come down and join the celebrations! Where: Health Center personnel will have stations to perform blood pressure and glucose checks. The following ACHC personnel will be available to answer questions: Dr. Linford (scoliosis), FNP Warner (breast cancer), Linda Taylor (nutrition), RDH Robertson (dental screenings) and ]oanne Garrett (sliding fee). Presenters will have information available on their services. Come visit your health center, meet the staff and enjoy the refreshments.
