Free Sports Physicals The Adams County Health August 2 from 8:00 AM to Center will be conducting free 12:30 PM. Please call 253-4242 sports physicals on Thursday, for an appointment. Fuel the Cure Raffle Winners will be drawn on August 7 at the Adams County Health Center at 5:00 PM. You don't have to be present to win. The items can be viewed, and tickets purchased, at US Bank. Tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5 or .20 for $25. More items are coming, and a second raffle will be held in October. The proceeds of a local raffle will be used to buy gas cards for people to use when they need to travel for cancer testing or treatment. First prize is a nice blanket made by Janice Canterberry. 2nd prize: Pampered Chef market tote. 3rd prize: Pampered Chef lunch tote. 4 prize: Scentsy Warmer. Health Fair and Open House The Adams County Health Center will be holding a health fair and open house on Tuesday, August 7, from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM. There will be booths by area hospitals and pharmacies, Heart and Home and Rose Advocates. Idaho Primary Care Association Will have a voter registration and information booth. Dr. Obuch will be available to answer questions about orthopedics. Featuring: static displays by Council Ambulance Service and of a Life Flight helicopter Health Center personnel will have stations to perform blood pressure and glucose checks. The following ACHC personnel will be available to answer questions: Dr. Linford (scoliosis), FNP Warner (breast cancer), Linda Taylor (nutrition), RDH Robertson (dental screenings) and Joanne Garrett (sliding fee). Presenters will have information available on their services. Come visit your health center, meet the staff and enjoy the refreshments. Veterans Service Officer Meeting Jacques Chung Hee, State Service Officer with the Idaho Division of Veterans Services, Office of Veterans Advocacy meets with Veterans through- out west-central Idaho month- ly to assist Veterans and other "eligibles (such as Veterans' family members) in apply- ing for VA disability claims, upgrading claims, answering questions, and providing other assistance. The bright and spacious classroom has areas for study and play. The school also has an outside playground. Following a daily routine, the kindergarten and preschool classes will include instructional lessons, snacks, stories, playtime Exercise Class on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Come join us.
