A fire near Lafferty Campground, about 14 miles northwest of Council, has been stopped at about a quarter of an acre. It is thought to have been caused by lightning. So far, fire restrictions are not in effect in Adams County, but authorities have released the following. Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place on State and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) managed lands, and portions of the Boise and Payette National Forests within the areas listed below: All State and BLM managed lands within Ada, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and Washington Counties All Payette National Forest lands within Washington County.
