Wednesday, August 1, 2012 Council Fuel the Cure Raffle The proceeds of this local raffle will be used to buy gas cards for people to use when they need to ravel for cancer testing or trealment. First prize i a nice blanket made by Jance Canterberry. 2nd prize: lampered Chef market tot. 3rd prize: Pampered Chef lunch tote. 4th prize: Scentsy Warmer. Chamber Thanks to all of you who worked so hard for the July 4th events. Please come for our August 1st meeting Wednesday at the high school at noon. On the agenda are important Winners will be drawn on August 7 at the Adams County Health Center at 5:00 PM. You don't have to be present to win. The items can be viewed, and tickets purchased, at US Bank. Tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5 or 20 for $25. More items are coming, and a second raffle will be held in October. Meeting items like fundraising, seeking grant opportunities, filling two Chamber Director positions, and the 4th of July wrap up. Please RSVP. See you there! Health Fair and Open House The Adams County Health Center will be holding a Health Fair and Open House on Tuesday, August 7, from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM. There will be booths by area hospitals and pharmacies, Heart and Home and Rose Advocates. Idaho Primary Care Association will have a voter registration and information booth. Dr. Obuch will be available to answer questions about orthopedics. Featuring: static displays by Council Ambulance Service and of a Life Fight helicopter. Health Center personnel will have stations to perform blood pressure and glucose checks. The following ACHC personnel will be available to answer questions: Dr. Linford (scoliosis), FNP Warner (breast cancer), Linda Taylor (nutrition), RDH Robertson (dental screenings) and Joanne Garrett (sliding fee). Presenters will have information available on their services., Come visit your health center, meet the staff and enjoy the refreshments. Preschool Open House Tater Tots Preschool/ Kindergarten is hosting an open house for parents of prospective 3 to 6 year olds from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 3. New for the 2012-2013 school year, Tater Tots will offer afternoon classes for kindergarten students ages 5 to 6. Parents can choose to have their students enrolled in the Council Elementary School, Tater Tots or both. Call 253-4392 for details. Attention all Council Mountain Quilt Guild's monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at the Council Senior Center. We'll start at 4:00 pm with a leaderless gathering. quilting ladies.
