The Adams County Record Wednesday, August 8, 2012 Page 11 Open House planned It has been a busy couple of weeks at the CHS Shop. Thanks to Mike Getusky, Matt Clayton Construction, Eric Crest and CMC construction for all the carpentry work they donated. Bob Patrick and his sons, Forest and Julian donated their time and sheet rocked the classroom and firewall in the shop. This was a huge step toward getting things finished. Jannette Shankle donated her time and equi pment to get the whole shop and classroom painted. Tim Cameron and his son Daniel redid the dust collection system. Michael Paradis, Ben, Justin and Bodie Getusky spent many nights and weekends doing the electrical. Bill Rawluk from Oasis Plumbing : In Council finished up the plumbing in the bathrooms. Last weekend was a last minute workday. David Byers and Angela Wyantt helped clean things up to get ready to bring equipment back in. Board member Melissa Roundtree, her husband Ben Roundtree, along with the Getusky family, finished putting the lights in the classroom. A special thanks goes to Rhonda Getusky for her hours of extra time, organizing people and projects and keeping the whole Project going. Volunteers will spend this week finishing the small things and cleaning the building so it can be ready for students. We are having a work day on Saturday August 11, starting at 8:00 AM, to bring in the equipment. If you can, please bring trucks and trailers. Open House There will be an open house to show off the renovated shop building on Monday, August 20, starting at 6:00 PM at the shop building. The new shop teacher, Tyler Renez, and timber donor, Harold Powers, will be there. A presentation will be shown on the new shop "smart board; showing the background and progress of the project.
