The review EA has been completed and will be marled to those who submitted com- ments during the (May 2012) scopin'g period. These are available for review and public comment (in accordance with 36 CFR 215) on the Payette National Forest website at: http: // r4/payette by clicking (on the left side of the web page): Land and Resources Management; Projects. A completed EA for the 6 allotments is anticipated in late September 2012. The Responsible Official for the decisions is Gregory S. Lesch, District Ranger of the Council and Weiser Ranger Districts. The Proposed Action is to: Authorize continued grazing on the Allotments, in a manner consistent with cur- rent Forest Plan guidance and management direction, and other applicable laws, regula- tions, and administrative poli- cies Allow permitted live- stock grazing that meets or moves towards desired resource conditions as defined in the current Forest Plan and further defined in this EA for site- and resource- specific desired conditions The grazing season for the No Biz C&H Allotment would be established within the dates of March 15 to November 15 each year. The grazing season for the Seid Creek and Wheelbarrow C&H Allotments would be established within the dates of May I to November 15 each year. The grazing sea- son for the Grizzly Creek, Little Johnson Creek, and Rush Fails C&H Allotments would be established within the dates of May 15 to November 15 each year. Head months {HM) authorized would not exceed 6 HM on No Biz, 8 HM on Wheelbarrow, 60 HM on Grizzly Creek, 44 HM on Little Johnson Creek, and 30 HM on Rush Falls. Head months would increase on the Seid Creek Allotment from 42 HM to 55 HM because 135 acres of suit- able rangeland will be made available to livestock grazing within the current allotment boundary. The allotments under consider- ation in this project are: I) Grizzly Creek (C&H) - 147 acres of National Forest System (NFS) lands and 280 acres of private land in TI6N, R3W, Section 26. 2) Little Johnson Creek C&H - 321 acres of NFS lands and 322 of private land in T16N, R2W, Section 10,15 3) No Biz C&H - 39 acres of NFS lands and 2 acres of private land in TI7N, R4W, Sections 3. 4) Rush Falls C&H- 61 acres of NFS lands and 123 acres of private land in TI6N, R3W, Sections 27. Seid Creek C&H - 305 acres of NFS lands and 1 acre of private land in T16N, R4W, Sections 20, 21. Wheelbarrow C&H - 46 acres of NFS lands and 1 acre of private land in T16N, R4W, Sections 27. The allotments cover approximately 1,648 total acres, with approximately 919 acres of NFS lands. One Inventoried Roadless Area (IRA} lies within the boundaries of two allotments. A portion of the Grizzly Creek and Rush Falls Allotments are within the Cuddy Mountain IRA.
