Responders came from Weiser City and Rural Fire Departments, Midvale Rural Fire Department, the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. Highway 95 was shut down to one lane between milepost 100 on the south side and milepost 102 on the north side, with traffic escorted by a pilot car. The cause of the fire is under investigation. HiUman Fire This fire was located within the Boulder Creek Drainage West of the Little Salmon River, approximately 15 miles north of New Meadows, and 4 miles south of Pinehurst, Idaho. Burning on private land, but within the Payette NF fireprotection, this fire was reported by Pollock Lookout at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31. Grizzly Fire near Cambridge A human-caused fire about 6 miles north of Cambridge that started last Friday (August 3) is pretty much out. Fire fighters from multiple agencies confined it to 823 acres of mostly brush and grass on private land. The exact cause of the blaze is still under investigation A voluntary evacuation went into place Friday afternoon for the homes in the immediate vicinity of the fire off of Cow Creek Road, but everyone returned to their homes by 10:30 that night. According to Forest Service press releases, one of their goals was to limit the spread of the fire to the west into Rush Creek drainage and keep it north of Cow Creek Road and south of the Forest boundary.
