The Adams County Record Obitua E. Orrin Lake November 11, 1932 -- August 11, 2012 E. Orrin Lake, 79, of : Council, passed away peacefully at his home, Aug. 11, 2012 with his family by his side. A celebration of life and potluck luncheon will be conducted at 1 p.m..Sat., Sept. 8, at the Council Senior Center. Interment will follow at the Hornet Creek Cemetery. He was born Nov. 11, 1932, on the Blackwell Place, one mile East of Lake Fork, Idaho, the son of August Lake and Thelma Ames. His parents farmed several locations in the Long Valley area. The family moved to Homedale in 1940 where he graduated high school. That fall the family bought the Keyes Ranch on Hornet Creek, north of Council, where he married Genece Bodkin on Jan. 13, 1952. Orrin logged for McGreagor until 1957 when he and Genece bought the ranch from his parents where they ranched Wednesday, August 15, 2012 Birth Announcement until he retired in 1982, reserving 14 acres for a home where they resided the rest of their lives. Orrinenjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his son, David, daughter- in-law, Norma, West Richland, WA; a son-in- law, Jobe Phillips, AK; a sister, Charlotte Oglevie, Vancouver, WA; a brother, August A. Lake (Fern), Payette,ID; 4 grandchildren, Tom (Greer) Lahti, Kent,WA; Jeffery Greer of Boise; Gary Lake (Laura R.), West Richland; Laura A. Lake (Christian Engel), Kennewick, WA and 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genece; daughter Debra Phillips; his parents and brother J. Harry Lake. Memorials in his name may be made to Heart N Home Hospice. The Boys are here! After a long 62 days in the NICU at St. Luke's Hospital, Brantley Colt and Skyler Hoyt Maggard are finally home. They were born May 29, weighing in at 3 lbs. 1 oz. and 3 lbs. 6 oz. respectively. Their Page 3 Mom, Jessie Schoeszler, is glad to have them home. Maternal Grandparents Dennis and Bea Maggard welcome them to the family with great joy.
