The Adams County Record Where is This? Just about everything in this "week's picture is outside of Adams County, but the camera is inside the county. Well, at least it probably is; the photographer was pretty much standing on the county line. The prize this week is a wooden light switch cover from All About Wood. Get your answers in by 4:00 PM on Monday: 253-6961 or record@ctcweb.net. Last week's picture showed Lost Creek just above Lost Lake. We received only four correct answers, and the winner of the drawing was Karen Poulson. I forgot to mention what the prize was for last week. Karen won a nice tube of herbal lip balm from D&L Herbs of Council. I'm running low on prizes, so any of you folks who want a little free advertising, bring me some little something to give away. Story Hour party The Story Hour's end of the summer party was held on Thursday, August 9 at the county park and at the Council Library. Thirty-plus children and parents attended the party. It was sponsored by the Friends of the library, X-club and the COuncil Valley Library. Games were played at the park, and cotton candy and snow cones were Wednesday, August 15, 2012 given out at the library. A big thank you to Missy Green and her helpers for putting this together.
