The Adams County Record Adams County Commissioners Continued from front page which yields $134,000 in tax revenue for 2013. Chairman Brown felt that the tax rate on business real estate will probably be raised to keep tax rev- enues the same within the county. In a sepa- rate case in which Idaho Power Company has sued the State of Idaho to recover excess per- sonal property taxes paid, Adams County could be liable to return $179,000 collected in prior years to the company. Clerk Sherry Ward felt that those funds would have to be returned possibly in one tax year. The effect of any change in tax rates for personal property will push down the cost of the change from the state to the local governments. Road and Bridge Supervisor Tom Glenn reported that Wilson Road is finally open for public traffic from Goodrich Creek Bridge to the Adams County line. Anyone who wants to test drive the new road will have to hurry to beat the winter weath- er, which is expected to seasonally close the road this month. The Road Department has also completed the new roadway across Ben Ross Reservoir dam. The new road has been widened, using concrete block to hold the roadway above the spillway. Clerk Sherry Ward requested the Commissioners autho- rize transferring a year- end deficit of $463 in the 911 Fund and a deficit of $6,600 in the Justice Fund to the 2013 Budget. The Clerk is continuing to hold a $9,900 bill- ing from Intellichoice Eforce Company until she can review the ser- vice contract with the Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff's Department agreed to have $4,000 in ammunition paid for out of the 2013 Budget rather than taking the funds from the Drug Enforcement money. Sidewalk project delayed BY FRED ERLAND A special meeting of the New Meadows City Council was held on Monday, October 22, with Mayor Spelman, Council Angle Moore, Dio Priddy, Gena Mencer and Mac Qualls Present with Heather Wilde absent due to illness. Bills to be paid were Approved. After a bit of discussion the East side of the Industrial park overhang was approved to be done this year. These overhangs will protect the building from snow piling against them. Some discussion on the ADA and sidewalk project was heard, as it was supposed to have been accomplished by last Friday the 19th. The boss of the job had surgery and that apparently has slowed all work almost to a stop. A letter of inquiry has been sent to ask for an update on the project, as it is obvious it will not be done before snowfall. There will be an ICRIMP workshop on Monday the 29th at 7:00 PM, and all are invited. ICRIMP is the insurance company for the city and most government operations.
