Xhe Adams County Record Wednesday, October 31, 2012 Page 3 Council Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Council Automotive, Inc. BY DEB WILSON Last week the Chamber of Commerce welcome basket made its latest stop at Council Automotive, Inc. Joe and Mary Ann Domecq have brought new life to the former Mountain Machine build- ing on Highway 95 north of downtown. Joe has always worked as a mechanic since /:he day he graduated from high school. "If I can see it put together I can fix it," he said. 'Tm a tool freak" he admitted. He stays updated on diagnos- tic equipment, and has a pipe bender to do automo- bile exhaust work. He also comes with a reputation for honesty. "If I make a mistake, let me know and I'll make sure it's right," he continued. Joe and Mary Ann both prefer rural living. Joe grew up in a small town of 200 people. Mary Ann spent her child- hood on a farm 5 miles from Marsing, "where the pavement ended;' she laughed. Joe ran a busy repair shop in Cascade for 8 years. They moved to Mesa in 2005, and Joe made the long drive to McCall for work until he opened his shop in Council. Mary Ann works full time in accounting at the Adams County Health Center, but helps Joe out the rest of her time. They say they are both com- mitted to "Quality repair at a price that's fair:' "We want to be good neighbors and an asset to the com- munity. Just give us a chance;' Mary Ann said in closing.
