Cambridge Senior Chatter New foo The big news this week is that our Food Pantry is moving to the first Thursday of the month. There will be no pantry in December Instead, it will be January 3rd from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. I went to order for our old delivery date and the computer wouldn't let me, so I called our representative at the Food Bank, Chico McKinney and he said "Oh, d pantry day didn't you get the message, we moved your date up to the 1st Wednesday of the month!" I've made out flyers, and Ursula hung them around town, so please let anyone you know, that comes to the pantry, know what is going on. Again there will be no food pantry in December I'm so thankful to live in little Cambridge, away from all the crazies in the more populated areas of our country. I feel so sorry for the families of those who lost loved ones in the shooting in the Sandy Hook area of Connecticut. This seems to be happening all too often in our country. As horrible as this event was, I don't know that anyone has the answers. I suspect "that there will be a call for more gun control measures, but I'm not sure that this is the answer either Perhaps we should be looking at the profiles of the people that are committing these crimes. Maybe the disgruntled or bullied student should be identified earlier and psychological intervention take place or the worker who is on the edge because of stress or losing his for some it's unbearable. I can only hope that this situation will cause us as a nation to reflect and come up with solutions that will prevent this from happening again. This will be my last column before Christmas; the center will be closed on the 26th, but we will be job can be helped with open on Friday, December counseling. Sometimes 28th.
