The Road Crew will work to remove the fallen rock from the road right of way so the route will be passable. Glenn also reported on the prog- ress of negotiations for the new right of way for Goodrich Creek Road. Chairman Brown has discussed a possible agreement with property owners in the area to move that road onto an existing irrigation ditch. Don Horton has been coordinating the funds for the construction through FEMA. FEMA did not like the proposed road alignment, but Horton said that, in the area, essentially only one route is feasible if the county wants to main- tain access to the sev- enteen property owners located along the route. Sheriff Rich Green reported that the nego- tiations with Adams County Health Clinic have allowed the State of Idaho to resume sending inmates to the local jail facility. The Department will review each medi- cal claim incurred for a state inmate before sub- mitting it to the State, and Adams County will assume payment for routine procedures. Chairman Brown has been in contact with the Department of Corrections and has received assurances that Adams County will be receiving a larger num- ber of state inmates this year. Brown has asked for 15 to 20 State inmates to be housed in the jail at all times. In other business before the Commission, the County declared April as Fair Housing Month, and also accept- ed completion of a heat- ing contract for the Old Courthouse Project. The Commission ended their meeting by con- ducting four interviews with candidates for the County Assessor posi- tion. The winning can- didate will be named at a special Commissioner's meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, ii VVi Spend Sl today. Save over s500 all year.
