The Debt We Owe Jesus
PAR'rz
BY DOUG LINFORD
Jesus did not come
as a conquering king or
ruler, but as a humble
baby, born in a stable. He
grew to manhood and
appeared to many around
him as just a man. He
was, however, perfect
(without sin). He gave
us the perfect example
on how we should live
our lives. My favorite
picture of the Christ is
when He is surrounded
by children. When His
disciples wanted to send
away the children we read
in Matthew 14, "But Jesus
said, Suffer little children,
and forbid them not, to
come unto me: for of such
is the kingdom of heaven."
He did not condone sin,
but forgave the sinner.
In John 8 we read that
the scribes and Pharisees
confronted Jesus thinking
to trick him saying,
“Master, this woman was
taken in adultery, in the.
very act.”
5- “Now Moses in
the law commanded
us, that such should be
stoned: but what sayest
thou?"‘
7- “So when they
continued asking him,
he lifted up himself, and
said unto them, He that
the woman standing in
the midst.”
10— “When Jesus had
lifted up himself, and saw
none but the woman, he
said unto her, Woman,
is without sin among you, where are those thine
let him first cast a stone at
her." .
8— “And again he
stooped down, and wrote
on the ground."
9— “And they which
heard it, being convicted
by their own conscience,
went out one by one,
Jesus was left alone, and
accusers? Hath no man
condemned thee?"
11— “She said, No
man, Lord. And Jesus
said unto her, Neither
do I condemn thee: go,
.
and 5111 no more.
Jesus gave us an
example to guide our lives
after him.
