class action lawsuit for fail-
ing to file an environmental
impact statement with the
HEPA (Heavenly Environ-
mental Protection Agency),
an angelically staffed
agency dedicated to keep-
ing the universe pollution
free. God was granted a
temporary permit for the
heavenly portion of the
project, but was issued a
"cease and desist" order on
the earthly part pending
further investigation by the
HEPA.
Upon completion of this
construction permit appli-
cation and environmental
impact statement, God
appeared before the HEPA
Council to answer ques-
tions. When asked why He
began these projects in the
first place, He simply rep-
lied that He liked to be
"creative." This was not
considered adequate reason-
ing and He would be requir-
ed to substantiate this fur-
ther.

government force and inter-

In defense of most
Americans carefree atitude
about political party labels;
they cannot be blamed.
The result of the two major
political party's actions are
proof the difference
between government force
versus individual freedom is
very foreign to them. The
past 44 years the party in
power has ignored the lim-
ited government planks in
their platform, but rushed
to implement the govern-
ment intervention planks.
Thank God a few English
countrymen knew the dif-
ference and told King
George to "sit on it" and
came 3000 miles in a wood-
en boat to implement the
distinction. Now bewitched
by the devilish phrase em-
bodied in nearly every piece
of proposed legislation--
"for the public health and
welfare"--we are returning
to the government force
and intervention of that
should not be denied, but
the facts about a party's
position as relates to
government intervention
and force versus individual
freedom should be clearly
defined by responsible edu-
cators, members of the
news media and most
important-party members
themselves.
The Democratic party
platform of 1932 would
have frightened Frank
Church and delighted Steve
Symms. Apparently Sen.
Church ably adopted the
party procedure of 1932,
say what the respective
constituien s want to hear
until elected and then shift
into reverse when necessary.
The Senator's conservative

When asked how the
earth would be covered
God said, "Let there be
firmament made admist the
waters, and let it divide the
waters from the waters."
One ecologically radical
council member accused
Him of double talk, but the
council tabled action since
God would be required to
obtain water permits from
the appropriate agencies in-
volved.
The council asked if
there would be only water
and firmament, and God
said, "Let the earth bring
forth the green herb, and
such as may seed, and the
fruit tree yielding fruit after
its kind, which' .may have
been itself upon, theearth."
The council' agreed to this
as long as native seed woul&

About future develop-
ment, God also said, "Let
the waters bring forth the
creeping creatures having
life and the fowl that may
fly over the earth under the
firmamen t of heaven."
fidently affirmed, "He
knoweth the way that I
take. When he has tried me,
I shall come forth as gold..

The integrity of God
within Job's heart was what
kept him when everything
else went "dead wrong."

song
But the man worthwhile
Is the man with a smile
When everything else goes

the council was most active
in the Sierrangel Club and

ing: "How is the light to
be made?"
Would it be a coal-fired
or a nuclear-fired generating
plant? Would there be strip
' mining? What about ther-
mal pollution? Air polluti-
ion?
God explained the light
would come from a huge
ball of fire. Nobody on the
council understood this.
But it was provisionally
accepted assuming (1) there
would be nO smog or smoke
resulting from the ball of
fire; (2) a separate burning
permit would be required;
and (3) since continuous
light would be a waste of
energy, it should be dark at
least one-half of the time.

To the Editor
Dear Sir:
'The Washington Report'
for the week of June 27-
July 1, from Idaho Con-
gressman Steve Symms, is
of such a telling force, we
the people of this nation
would show sense to heed
what he has to say. It
would be ridiculous for any
true American to ignore
what the Congressman
makes so explicitly plain
regarding the explosive
amount of money t h e

It appeared everything
was in order until God
stated he wanted to com.
plete the project in six days.
At this He was advised by
the CounCil that His timing
was completely out of the
question. HEPA would
require a minimum of 180
days to review the applica-
tion and environmental im-
pact statement; then there
would be public hearings.
It could feasibly take 10 to
12 months before a permit
could be granted.
So God said "To Hell

day, the degree and pace of
government intervention
and control seems to be the
only difference between
the Democratic and Repub-
lican positions. This differ-
ence has been reduced to
about a penny's worth.
Example: Senator McClure
supported the original pass-
age of OSHA, yes, after
attempts to amend were
defeated, but still supported
the basic concept "foot-in-
the door" government inter-
vention legislation.
Many examples can be
cited of Democrats voting
with a majority of Repub-
licans (not that that is good
drance in not solving prob-
lems even though the inter-
ventionists are sincere. The
hard work of finding lim-
ited government candidates
at all levels of government
and getting support for
their election and keeping
their feet to the fire is a
chore that requires "stick-
toitism" and constantly
keeping your shoulder to
the political wheel. Ask
pinpointed questions and
don't shy away from ques-
tions which you are told
may embarrass. Answers to
so-called embarrassing ques-
tions may be the key to
whom you support.
