These highways and city streets are public property as as such we ,have the right to ride on them without harassment from others. A number of horseback. ere around town have tried for several years to get some bridle paths that are safe and out of the way. These bridle paths are very much needed as some of us are forced to ride on busy streets to get to less busy streets and places such as the rodeo grounds. We have not been able to get 'these bridle paths because of the opposition of unin- formed and uncaring motor- ists. These same uncaring mo- torists are also the ones who throw out horse crippling garbage and who drive as fast and as carelessly on our back roads as they do on the highway. I have been riding on city streets and highways for 25 years and I have never seen an accident caused by a horseback rider. This should say something for our skill and brains. Signed Doralee Hill An avid horsebacker mink caught by only two toes. I lifted him into an open barrel and got him out of the trap. Then at seven this morning I put him in a sack and took him a mile down the river where I knew of an old mink den and let him go in to it in good shape. When the season opens for mink trapping in Nov- ember I may trap my trans- planted fur animal again if he don't leave entirely. Carry on the good work you have a real fine paper worthy of any town.
