What is baked alaska?
Answer:
It is a baked pie shell
cooled, filled with ice
cream, t o p p e d with
meringue and baked in
the oven at 500 degrees
for 3 minutes. Serve
immediately. An angel
food cake may be done
also using a similar tech-
nique.
ANTACUCHOS
1 cup wine vinegar
2 cloves garlic
½ t. cummin seed
½ t. paprika
1 T. whole black pepper
1 T. salt
% jar hot green chili
peppers (chopped finely)
2 T. salad oil
1 beef heart
Mix all ingredients. Cut
heart in pieces, removing all
membrane. Add to the
marinade and let set over
night. Brush with marinade
while bar-b-queing on split
banboo sticks. Serves 5 to
8. Good as an appetizer
before bar-b-qued steaks.

4 eggs (well beaten)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
% c. sugar
% cube butter
2 c. milk
~h c. coconut
Place all ingredients in
bowl and mix well. Place in
greased pie pan and sprinkle
with_n__utrneg or cinnamon..
Bake 350 degrees for 55
min. (You need no crust, it
makes its own.)
