Carter Administration is de-
stroying scientific publica-
tions that support develop-
ment of nuclear breeder re-
actors, Congressman Steve
Symms said today.
"Carter told the Amer-
ican people he would stress
honesty and openness in
government when he was
running for President,"
Symms said.
"Now he as ordered the
Energy Research and Devel-
opment Administration to
confiscate and destroyERDA
publications of a scientific
nature that do not support
his political policies relating
to nuclear fuel recycling and
breeder reactors," the Idaho
Republican said.
Symms said the Carter
Administration had removed
several publication from dis-
tribution because the ma-
terials did not "reflect cur-
rent policies."
