Council Christian Academy
will begin its second year of
operation on August 31.
Some thirty students are
expected to enroll from Cam-
bridge, Council, McCall,
bnd New Meadows.
According to principal
R.C. Myrmel the Academy is
part of the strong fundamen-
tal Bible movement which is
sweeping across America in
this decade. Pastor Jerry
Frith of the Council Bible
Church and Mr. Ron Myrmel
agree that liberalism and the
infiltration of strong federal
influence in public education
has done much to promote
the rapid advancement of
Christian education.
The academy is one of
2,000 A.C.E. (Accelerated

Christian Education) schools
in the United States. It
utilizes the principles of the
old "one room school" but
maintains a much more so-
phisticated academic curri-
culum. Each student is mo-
tivated to achieve the best
adademic results possible at
his own level of ability and
skill. Much emphasis is
given to high patriotic and
Biblical standards. This ap-
plies to students and the
teachers as well.
Teachers and aides for the
coming school year will be
Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Myrmel,
Mrs. Steve Shumway, Mrs.
James Gray, Mrs. Darryl
Morris, Mrs. Fred Edwards
and Mrs. Butch Snorgrass.
Pastor Jerry Frith will teach
Bible related subjects.
"Visitors and inquiries are
always welcome At Council
Christian Academy," says
Mr. Myrmel. The school is
located at the Council Bible
Church just off Highway 95
north of Council. The school
can be contacted at 253-6093
