Dell, in particular, has a
testimony of God's love and
reconciliation. After running
from God for seven years, he
found the rich, abundant
life, full of peace, joy and
rest, in Jesus, instead of
competing in the business
world. Once paralyzed from
the waist down never to walk
again, he now has a testi-
mony of divine healing. He
also has a relevant message
of help for the American
home and couples.
All are invited to come for
inspiration, help and bless-
ings.

Mr. & Mrs. John Spink of
McCall were hosts to Mrs.
Carol Davis last weekend.
Carol attended the Valley
County Fair in Cascade
Thursday and on Friday
they all spent the evening at
the Alpine Play ttouse in
McCall where they saw the
play "Joe's Bar & Grill"
put on by local talent.
This was an excellent play,
and a good laugh was
enjoyed. Carol thinks it a
pity, more people did not
attend this play since it was
certainly worth attending.
On Sunday the Spinks &
Carol returned to Cascade
to the annual "Long Valley
Old-timers Picnic". A very
good turn out here and they
visited with many old
friends. From the looks of
the tables, one would guess
there was no food shortage
and a very good time was
enjoyed by all. Although
tired when she arrived home
Sunday evening, Carol felt
it was all worthwhile.
A visitor at the Salmon
River Senior Citizens meet-
ing August 18 was here
from Huston, Texas. She is
Joyce Naumann, a cousin of
Inez Howland. From Calif-
fornia were Mr. & Mrs. Mar
Kettie, and from Grange-
ville, Mr. & Mrs. Ed Wright
and Kathleen Roberts.
Twenty eight members were
present and 5 dinners taken
to members who for variot

The Congregational
Church will resume it's
regular Sunday School
Schedule or, Sept. 4th at
9:45 a.m. We want to thank
reasons could not attend
the usual meeting at
, Summervilles Cafe. Prizes
were won by Frank Sotin
and Buck Howland. The
President, Mavis Sotin,
announcedthat the Mini
bus wouldtake interested
Seniors to Grangeville and
return onFriday. Several
enjoyed the excursion
with Norma Wingfield as
"pilot of the bus". The
bus will also make the trip
to Cottonwood, Saturday,
August 27, so the Idaho
County Fair may be
attended by the Senior Citi-
zens in this area. Kermit
Tate, a teacher in the local
school showed some beauti-
ful and interesting pictures
he and his family had taken
while traveling our beautiful
Idaho. Thanks to Librarian,
Eileen Strain, for the "take-
out books".
Do you know where the
"Chick Inn" is? It is right
between the State Liquor
store and the L.D.S. church
building in Riggins. I stop-
ped for a few moments to
visit the new owners of the
Chick Inn, Len & Jean
Lucas, who came here in
April after apprenticing at
Denny's restaurant in Boise
for 2 years. Friends, Pat and
Ray Higgins from Santa
Paula, California came to
visit and to see how the
Lucases were doing with
their Home Style Dining
Room, They were treated
to some blackberries, which
they made into juice, to be
taken home, and a trip to
Heaven's Gate, which is the
spot, near Seven Devil's
Mountain where you can
see 4 states from the same
point. The California folks
are real estate people and
were impressed enough with
Riggins to plan on returning
when they have more time.
Drop in and get acquainted
with Len & Jean. It is a
small, quiet dining room,
but remember good things
come in small packages.
Monday morning around
10:00 o'clock, Nell Fulton
let her dog, Lucky, out for
his morning run and for the
first time he did not return.
Does anyone out there
know where he has disap-
peared to? Did someone
take him along not knowing
he is a treasured pet?
Lucky, a black, part husky
dog is 9 years old this
month and has never wan-
dered far from home. He is
well known by neighbors
and never created any pro-
blems for anyone, so if you
have seen or see a black dog
about feet from ground
to back, wearing a silver
chain choke collar from
which the rabies tag has
been lost, please call
628-3369. Reward for
information either alive or
otherwise.
