The board agreed to join the states NET-COM tele- phone system which allows m-state calls on a flat per minute rate which is felt will cut the phone bill in half. The revised 77-78 budget was approved. The approval was also made to allow 4 children from Rock flat area to transfer to McCall for this term, this count is down 2 from the 6 transfers requested last term. Discussion was held con- cerning 2 new class rooms and a multi purpose area, as well as funding t h e m through possible sale of pro- perty and/or bond. M r. Kerby stated "I'm not sure we're doing this in the right sequence. We might sell the property and find we don't have enough for the addi tion. I don't think we should try to cram anything down the throat of the community. CARROT BREAD 1 cup sugar 1 c. grated carrots 1 V2 cup water l/s teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup raisins I teaspoon salt I Tablespoon butter I/2 teaspoon cloves Boil mixture of all of the above for 5 minutes. Cool and add one egg, IA cup nuts, 2 cups flour, and 2 teaspoon soda. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Yields: 1 loaf CHEESE & PINEAPPLE SALAD 3/4 c. sugar (1 envelope unflavored gelatin} '.4 c. cold water 1 c. grated American cheese 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained 1 c. heavy cream, whipped 1/2 c. syrup from pineapple Dissolve sugar in pine- apple syrup over low heat. Add gelatin softened in cold water. Chill until partially set; add pineapple a n d cheese. Fold in whipped cream. Chill until f i r m. Serves: 6-8 people.
