CHOLESTEROL
Cholesterol is a fat-like
substance made in the body
and found in every cell. It is
a normal constituent Qf blood
and tissues. In addition t-
the cholesterol made in the
body, smaller amounts come
from food. Cholesterol con-
tent of the diet is but one of
many factors that influence
the cholesterol level in
blood.
Cholesterol is found only
in foods of animal origin. It is
not present in fruits, vege-
tables, cereal g r a i n s,
legumes, nuts, or in vege-
table oils or other foods
coming from plants. Organ
meats, such as brains, li er
and kidney, and egg yolk
contain the largest amounts
of any foods. Shellfish sup-
ply appreciable quantities.
Other foods of animal origin
contain smaller quantities.
BUY EASY-CARE FABRICS
yolks; return to hot mixture;
cook one minute. Cool until
partially thickened.
Beat egg whites to soft
peaks; gradually add IA cup
sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
Fold into custard; then fold
in whipped cream. Add
syrup to 11/ cups of mixture.
Stir chocolate into remaining
mixture; spread half over
crumbs. Cover with mint
layer, then last of chocolate.
Top with unused crumbs.
Chill till firm. Makes 6
servings.
QUICK BREAKFAST
TREAT
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2 tubes refrigerator

V2 cup white sugar
c. melted butter or
margarine
1 teasp, cinnamon
1/3 c. chopped nuts
Melt butter.
Mix sugar, cinnamon and
nuts together. Dip biscuits in
butter and then in sugar
mixture. Then place biscuits
around outer edge of well

Many new juvenile books,

the Library shelves for use
by the students. Ms. Hecht
displayed some of them and
talked to the children about
reading and energy.
