!
November l I, Veterans Day, is a time when Veterans are
remembered and also one which causes Veterans to
remember. Even though many of the Veterans [including
the writer] may not fit too well into the old, faded uniforms
we still remember the G.I. shoes, fatigues, S.O.S. and just
plain weariness.
All veteraus should be honored on this day and they are.
-- However we are taking this opportunity to salute them
all by singling out one Council Resident who has all the
attributes of the type of veteran we are most proud of.
Richard L. Ganion, Council, was medically retired at the
presedio in San Francisco after being hospitalized, with
battle injuries,for some time.
He came to Council ia August of 1976 and is now
employed by Boise Cascade Corporation in the logging
division.
Mr. Gallion is married and father of two children. We are
proud to rep uee here with a copy of the citation Mr.
Gallion received in September of 1968.
