Nnvember 16. 1977 in nl m i Elsie Marti Students from the first, second and third grades of the Cambridge elementary school were among the youngsters to spend part of Friday forenoon at the Cam- bridge Community Library where a puppet show was presented by Myrna Hecht of Boise. After the puppet show Miss Hecht gave the child- ren instructions on the use of the library and its materials. A cooked food and fancy work sale was enjoyed, just between the members who attended the Valley View club meeting Thursday after- noon. The meeting was held in Mrs. Elsie Dickerson's home. Mrs. Wilson received cards and gifts from the members. November 16 is the date of the official visitation of the Worthy Grand Matron. A no-host dinner will be served for those wishing to attend, at Kay's Drive Inn at noon and refreshments will be served after the evening meeting. A school of instruc- tion will be held during the afternoon. Velda Fairchild reported on the activities of Job's Daughters of Bethel No. 28, and meetings held recently. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baker, who leased their ranch here to go to Fair- banks, Alaska, a few years ago, have been in Idaho visiting daughters and their families, and in Cambridge they called on old friends. ILII|~ -- - Mr.- and Mrs. - Myron Loomis, Donnelly, brought a truckload of cattle down from summer pasture for the George Fords on Rush creek, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Irene Myers, Boise and her four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Ashley and her young daughter, M r s. Darlene Schwitzer, M r s. Glendora Ball, Boise, and Louise Cunningharn, Port- land, visited Saturday with Mrs. Myer's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ingebretsen. Five generations of the Clure family were together for Sunday and while every- one was there they had five generations pictures taken. The five generations were Mrs. Hazel Clure, pioneer resident of Salubria Valley, her son, Ray Clure, his daughter, Laura Brendt, Mrs. Brendt's son, Ron Horn, and Ron's son, two- weeks old Jeremy. T h e family gathered in the Ray -Tuesday of last week. A former resident of the Cam- bridge area, she and a twin brother, Ben Smith, were children of pioneer Salubria parents, Marion and Mary Smith. Two daughters, Vera and Evelyn, and several grand- children survive. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jones returned Thursday evening from Stratton, Neb., where they spent two weeks vacationing with relatives, including Mrs. Jones' four sisters and a brother. They made the trip by bus. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Baker and Mrs. Elizabeth Killian, all of Portland were weekend guests of Mrs. Edna How- land. The three women are sisters.
